Reverse description : Quatre lys posés en croix autour d'une rosace, cantonnée de quatre rosaces.

Reverse translation : “C'est ainsi qu'il brille au milieu des lys”.

Commentary

Rare représentation d’une oie dans le monnayage. Jeton énigmatique sous forme de rébus Comme le faisait remarquer Feuardent en 1907, “ce Loy devait avoir un titre à la Cour des Monnaies”. Néanmoins, nous n’avons pas trouvé de trace de ce nom d’après l’article de M. Popoff, un armorial de la Cour des Monnayes (1641-1787), RN. 1997, p. 291-332.
Rare representation of a goose in coinage. Enigmatic token in the form of a rebus. As Feuardent noted in 1907, “this Loy must have had a title at the Cour des Monnaies”. However, we have not found any trace of this name according to the article by M. Popoff, an armorial of the Cour des Monnayes (1641-1787), RN. 1997, pp. 291-332
