Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés, un peu court sur les légendes. Très beau buste de Mars. Revers de toute beauté de style fin. Très belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

Obverse description : Buste casqué et drapé de Mars à droite vu de trois quarts en avant avec le trophée sur l'épaule.

Reverse description : Cavalier casqué, le manteau flottant galopant à droite, tenant une javeline de la main droite et terrassant deux guerriers gaulois.
Reverse translation : “Manius Fonteius Tribunus Militum”, (Manius Fonteius, tribun militaire).

Grand buste, petit trophée. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de 96 coins de droit et de 107 coins de revers. Il existe deux variantes avec petit et grand trophée sur l’épaule de Mars au droit.
