Cet esterlin est frappé sur un flan assez large présentant un petit éclatement à 6 heures au droit. Une jolie patine de collection le recouvre. La croix du revers a tendance à apparaître en négatif au droit

LORDSHIP OF FLORENNES - GAUCHER OF CHATILLON

(1312-1322)

Gaucher de Châtillon (1250-1329) was constable of France, under Philippe IV and his successors, and count of Porcien. The lord of Florennes had obtained in 1292 a right of coinage that his widow, Isabeau de Rumigny transmitted in 1313 to her second husband, Gaucher de Châtillon.
