Ce denier est frappé sur un flan assez large et légèrement irrégulier. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise sur lequel la croix du revers apparaît en négatif au droit. Petit éclatement de flan à 1 heure au droit

LORDSHIP OF FLORENNES - GAUCHER OF CHATILLON

(1312-1322)

Gaucher de Châtillon (1250-1329) was constable of France, under Philippe IV and his successors, and count of Porcien. The lord of Florennes had obtained in 1292 a right of coinage that his widow, Isabeau de Rumigny transmitted in 1313 to her second husband, Gaucher de Châtillon.
