Finland's fifth circulating 2 Euro commemorative coin was minted to mark the 90th anniversary of Finland's independence. On December 6, 1917, Finland, at the time of the Russian Revolution, gained its independence. The obverse features nine rowers, representing Finland's nine former historical provinces, as well as the year dates 1917–2007.
