Ferdinand Lassalle (1825–1864) fut un penseur politique et l’un des fondateurs du mouvement ouvrier en Allemagne. En 1863, il créa l’Allgemeiner Deutscher Arbeiterverein (ADAV), ancêtre du SPD. Influencé par le socialisme et Hegel, il défendait l’intervention de l’État pour améliorer les conditions de vie des ouvriers. Il meurt jeune, à 39 ans, dans un duel.
Medal in capsule. Ferdinand Lassalle (1825–1864) was a political thinker and one of the founders of the workers' movement in Germany. In 1863, he founded the Allgemeiner Deutscher Arbeiterverein (ADAV), the precursor to the SPD. Influenced by socialism and Hegel, he advocated state intervention to improve the living conditions of workers. He died young, at the age of 39, in a duel.
