Exemplaire sur un flan ovale bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Beau portrait de Faustine Jeune. Revers de style fin bien venu à la frappe. Très jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets mordorés, légèrement granuleus

Obverse description : Buste drapé de Faustine jeune à droite avec un petit chignon ramené derrière la tête, vu de trois quarts en avant (L).
Obverse translation : “Faustina Augusta”, (Faustine augusta).

Reverse legend : IV-NO.
Reverse description : Junon drapée et voilée debout à gauche tenant une patère de la main droite et un sceptre de la gauche ; à ses pieds, à gauche, un paon.

Augusta
Young Faustina, the daughter of Antoninus and Faustina Mother, was born between 128 and 132. She married Marc Aurèle in 145 and received the title of augusta in 146. She had thirteen children, seven of whom survived childhood. A very important coinage is struck until his death in 175 in Halala at the foot of Mount Taurus in Cappadocia.
