The Fatimids took possession of Egypt at the beginning of the 10th century. Al Moustansir was certainly the most brilliant of these monarchs and his reign lasted more than sixty years. He minted a lot in Sicily. After his death, the decline of the dynasty began and Saladin put an end to the Fatimids in 1171.
