Historical background

FANNIA

(123 BC)

The Fannia gens is a plebeian family from Rome. A Caius Fannius was tribune of the plebs in 187 BC and one of his namesake consul in 122 BC Marcus Fannius is the only member of the gens Fannia to have coined money.
