Lot comprenant une monnaie frappée à l’atelier de Philadelphie et une monnaies frappée à l’atelier de Denver.
Cette monnaie est la seconde monnaie commémorative consacrée aux Native Americans, c’est à dire aux nations indiennes d’Amérique du Nord. Chaque année, parallèlement aux quatre émissions des présidents des États-Unis d’Amérique, une monnaie différente sera émise sur ce thème.
Cette monnaie commémore le traité de Wampanoag conclut en 1621 à Plymouth Bay entre le Suprême Sachem Ousamequin Massasoit et le gouverneur John Carver. Ce traité officialise une alliance entre la Grande Nation Wampanoag et les colons.
Ces monnaies ont été uniquement vendues par l’US Mint et pas mises en circulation.
Lot including one coin struck at the Philadelphia mint and one coin struck at the Denver mint. This coin is the second commemorative coin dedicated to Native Americans, that is to say, the Indian nations of North America. Each year, alongside the four issues of the presidents of the United States of America, a different coin will be issued on this theme. This coin commemorates the Wampanoag Treaty concluded in 1621 at Plymouth Bay between Supreme Sachem Ousamequin Massasoit and Governor John Carver. This treaty formalized an alliance between the Great Wampanoag Nation and the colonists. These coins were only sold by the US Mint and not put into circulation.
