Les dates de 736 et de 771 du calendrier de l’Hégire, correspondant à 1336 et 1369 dans le calendrier Grégorien, pourraient faire référence aux années de naissance et de début de règne de Tamerlan, aussi connu sous le nom de Timour Leng. Dirigeant de la dynastie des Timurides (ou Timourides), il est le fondateur d’un puissant empire s’étendant sur presque toute l’Asie centrale.

(1336-1507)
The Timurids, also spelled Timurids, are the descendants of Tamerlane (Timour Leng), born in 1336. When he died in 1405, his successors continued to develop the empire: it extended into central Asia in present-day Iran, in Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and up to present-day Pakistan. The empire ended in 1507 and the Mughal emperors subsequently took possession of the territory.
