Exemplaire sur un petit flan régulier, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait. Bel exemplaire pour un monnayage souvent fruste et mal frappé. Jolie patine de médaillier

Sur cet exemplaire, le bandeau est particulièrement fin et visible dans la chevelure. Sur cet exemplaire, l’égide est particulièrement visible. Au revers, la date est bizarre. Traces de cassure de coin au revers dans le champ, de chaque côté de l’aigle.

First Reign
In 80 BC, Sylla imposed Ptolemy XI Alexander, son of Ptolemy X. The new king had Berenice III assassinated before being eliminated himself, without an heir. Ptolemy XII Auletes, that is to say the flute player, son of Ptolemy IX Soter ascended the throne. He placed himself under the protection of the Romans. In 58 BC, it was driven out of Egypt by the Alexandrians and then restored by the Romans four years later. He is the father of Cleopatra VII, the Great, who succeeded him.
