Commentary

Ce type semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. Ce type se rencontre dans plusieurs trésors égyptiens ou levantins. Outre le tétradrachme, nous avons aussi l’octodrachme en argent, le trychryson et le tetarte en or.
This type seems rarer than general works suggest. This type is found in several Egyptian or Levantine hoards. Besides the tetradrachm, we also have the silver octodrachm, the trychryson and the gold tetartus.
