Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan idéalement centré des deux côtés. Revers magnifique, de haut relief, finement détaillé. Métal légèrement piqué sur la joue d’Alexandre mais buste superbe. La monnaie a conservé une grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine. Patine grise avec des reflets dorés et bleutés

Ptolemy was a childhood friend of Alexander. After the latter's death in 323 BC, he received the satrapy of Egypt. Diadochus he fought for forty years against his colleagues, Lysimachus, Seleucus, Antigonus and Demetrius. Ptolemy was the only successor of Alexander to die in his bed.
