(1922-1936)

Fouad (26/031868-28/04/1936) is first sultan in 1917 under the British protectorate. In 1922, during the dismantling of Turkey, Egypt becomes completely independent and was proclaimed King Fouad. Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in the Valley of the Kings by Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter in 1922.
