Commentary

La seule référence que nous ayons trouvé pour ce jeton est dans Histoire du gymnase protestant de Strasbourg par Adam Walther Strobel, publié à Strasbourg en 1838, page 132,n° 1694. Selon l’usage allemand le mot gymnase, Gymnasium, désigne un lycée et on verra page 130 de l’ouvrage la description de la cérémonie de remise des prix.
