Commentary
This example is that of MONNAIES 26, n° 670. Still considered by some as a cast coin, this bronze is struck and to our knowledge it is not a struck and cast series, as may be the case for TVRONOS CANTORIX coins for example. Assuming that the workshop for manufacturing this bronze is located near the site of Fort-Harrouard, the attribution to the Carnutes could then be revised in favor of the Durocasses

Historical background
DUROCASSIS (Area of Dreux)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Durocasses are not cited by Caesar in the Gallic Wars. They seem to have emancipated themselves from Carnut tutelage quite late, like the Parisii from that of the Senones. Their name means "the warriors of the fortified hill"..
