Commentary
Diamètre sans la bélière : 33 mm (grande largeur : 34,5 mm)
L'objet ne présentant aucun poinçon sur la tranche, il s'agirait plutôt d'un exemplaire original. La tranche présente un manque de dorure sur le pan à 6 heures, probablement lié à un limage afin de vérifier si l'exemplaire était en argent doré ou en bronze doré. Cette partie permet ainsi de voir qu'il s'agit d'un exemplaire en bronze doré. Aucune trace de poinçon quelconque n'est visible. Par ailleurs, d'après l'ouvrage de Michel HENNIN, la médaille est censée faire 33 mm d'un pan à un angle, ce qui est bien le cas de notre exemplaire.
Par contre, il est possible que l'anneau ait été ajouté postérieurement.

The edge has a lack of gilding on the side at 6 o'clock, probably linked to filing in order to check whether the example was in gilded silver or gilded bronze. When the Convention separated on October 25, 1795, a new executive power provided for by the Thermidorian constitution was put in place.. This constitution plans to entrust power to a board of five members, each of whom presides in turn, with the replacement of one member every two years.. This board appoints ministers and civil servants, directs foreign policy and enforces laws, but it does not draft them and has no control over public funds.. Power is shared with two chambers: the Council of Five Hundred and the Council of Elders which form the Legislative Body..
