Exemplaire sur un flan large bien centré des deux côtés. Beau buste de Dioclétien. Joli revers de haut relief. Belle patine vert foncé

Reverse description : Maximien et Dioclétien debout face à face ; Maximien est debout à gauche, tourné à droite, vêtu militairement, tenant un sceptre long de la main gauche ; Dioclétien est debout à droite, tourné à gauche, vêtu militairement, tenant un sceptre long de la main gauche et tendant un globe nicéphore à Maximien.

Commentary
Poids lourd. Avec l’intégralité de son argenture. Les ptéryges semblent absentes sur cet exemplaire. Rubans de type 3. En 1886, Feuardent dans la deuxième édition du Cohen cotait cet aurelianus 30 francs or, soit le prix d’un solidus.
