Beau portrait inhabituel avec la cuirasse formée d’écailles. Semble inédit et non recensé avec ce type de buste. Manque à tous les ouvrages recencés.

Caesar

Diadumenian becomes Caesar when his father Macrin is proclaimed august in April 217. He receives the title of prince of youth. Macrinus brings him into the Severian family by making him take the prænomen of Antoninus, as he himself seized that of Severus. After the proclamation of Elagabalus, Macrinus raised his son to august in May 218 for a very short period. Beaten in June, Macrin and Diaduménien fled. The latter is caught while trying to pass to the Parthians by crossing the Euphrates. He is killed.
