Diamètre sans bélière : 35,5 mm
La fête nationale du 14 juillet (1790 fête de la Fédération, pas 1789, prise de la Bastille et libération de ses sept prisonniers) date en réalité de 1880 et était avant tout dans l’esprit de ses instigateurs la fête de la République. Antérieurement, la fête nationale était le 15 août comme l’explique ce site http://www.notrefamille.com/v2/editorial-dossiers-942/fete-nationale-changement-de-date.asp.

SECOND REPUBLIC

(24/02/1848-2/12/1852)

Louis Napoleon was elected December 10, 1848 as the first President of the Second Republic. He had no right to represent in 1852. Louis Napoleon decided to make a coup planned for December 2, 1851, the anniversary of the coronation of the Eagle and commemoration of the Battle of Austerlitz. The coup is ratified by a plebiscite on December 21 with more than 7.5 million and only 640,000 YES NO. Victor Hugo was exiled on 12 December. The following year, he published "The Little Napoleon" which earned Louis Napoleon became Napoleon III meantime this famous sentence: "Napoleon the Little by Victor the Great".
