Commentary

La médaille, transformée en boîte, est décernée au monogramme des époux : LB et EB. Elle s’ouvre en deux parties et présente un intérieur gravé sur les deux faces. Le revers gravé de l’avers présente le monogramme d’un des époux : LB dans un médaillon ovale posé sur un cuir percé d’une guirlande de feuillages et coiffé d’une couronne de fleurs. La date de l’union est gravée à l’exergue : LE 14 MAY 1785. Le revers du revers présente le monogramme d’un des époux : EB dans un médaillon ovale posé sur un cuir percé d’une guirlande de feuillages et coiffé d’une couronne de fleurs. The medal, transformed into a box, is awarded with the monogram of the spouses: LB and EB. It opens in two parts and has an interior engraved on both sides. The engraved reverse of the obverse presents the monogram of one of the spouses: LB in an oval medallion placed on a leather pierced with a garland of foliage and topped with a crown of flowers.
