Ces jetons sont du XVe siècle et reprennent le type des écus d’or du Dauphiné frappés sous les Dauphins puis sous les rois de France. La légende du droit rappelle que le jeton avait en premier lieu une fonction comptable et servaient à réaliser des opérations sur un abaque (Alain Schärlig - Compter avec des jetons - 2003, disponible sur notre site http://www.cgb.fr/librairie).
These tokens are from the 15th century and are similar to the gold écus of Dauphiné minted under the Dauphins and then under the kings of France.
