D’après Régis Chareyron, ce type monétaire daterait de la fin de l’épiscopat de Louis de Villars Thoire, vers 1370. Sa proposition de datation repose sur la présence de l’aigle impérial qui apparaîtrait à cette date. Monnaie signalée par Poey d’Avant, mais absente du Boudeau.
