DAUPHINÉ - COUNTY OF VIENNOIS - JOHN II

(1307-1319)

Jean II was one of the last dolphins of the Viennese. Guigues VIII (1319-1333) and Humbert II (1333-1349) succeeded him. Humbert II sold the Dauphiné to the King of France on the condition that the title of Dauphin be given to the king's eldest son.
