DAUPHINÉ - COUNTY OF VIENNA - JEAN II

(1307-1319)

Jean II was one of the last dolphins Viennese. Guigues VIII (1319-1333) and Umberto II (1333-1349) succeeded him. Humbert II sold the Dauphiné to the king of France on condition that the title of dolphin is given to the eldest son of King.
