Ce petit mammifère ressemble à un gros rat avec un nez très allongé. Sa salive est un venin. Découvert en 1861, il a été déclaré éteint en 1970 avant qu’on ne découvre d’autres exemplaires.
This small mammal resembles a large rat with a very elongated nose. Its saliva is venomous. Discovered in 1861, it was declared extinct in 1970 before other specimens were discovered.
