Exemplaire sur un flan ovale bien centré. Beau buste inhabituel de Crispus. Joli revers. Patine marron foncé

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Crispus césar à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant avec lance sur l'épaule et bouclier (F*1).
Obverse translation : “Iulius Crispus Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Jules Crispus très noble césar).

Reverse legend : VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP/ VOT/PR// BSIS..
Reverse description : Deux victoires debout face à face tenant un bouclier posé sur un cippe.
Reverse translation : "Victoriæ Lætæ Principium Perpetuæ/ Vota Populi Romani", (À la victoire heureuse et durable du prince/ Vœux du Peuple romain).
Commentary
Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Bouclier clouté. Césure de légende de droit inhabituelle.

Caesar
Crispus is the son of Constantine and Minervine. Born around 300, he was named Caesar in 317 with Constantine II and Licinius II. Rightly or wrongly, he is accused by his stepmother of wanting to abuse her. Faced with these accusations, Constantine had his eldest son put to death in early 326.
