Exemplaire sur un flan large et régulier, parfaitement centré avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait magnifique inhabituel pour Crispus. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Patine grise avec des reflets dorés. Conserve une partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine au droit

Obverse description : Buste casqué et cuirassé de Crispus à gauche vu de trois quarts en avant (C*1).

Reverse description : Globe surmonté de trois étoiles posé sur un autel.

Poids léger. Casque décoré. Couvre nuque orné de trois points en triangle. Cuirasse lisse. Épaulière cloutée. Ptéryges larges. Au revers globe lisse.

Caesar
Crispus is the son of Constantine and Minervine. Born around 300, he was named Caesar in 317 with Constantine II and Licinius II. Rightly or wrongly, he is accused by his stepmother of wanting to abuse her. Faced with these accusations, Constantine had his eldest son put to death in early 326.
