CRETE - Lyttos

(320-270 BC)

Lyttos mentioned in the Iliad (II, 647), is located in the eastern part of the island. It was founded by Lyktos son of Lykaon king of Arcadia. Lyttos was destroyed by mercenaries Aetolian with the help of Knossos (220 BC.).
