Exemplaire sur un petit flan irrégulier bien centré, un peu court sur la légende au droit avec le grènetis visible au revers. Très belle tête de chèvre. Abeille de haut relief, bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés. Conserve une partie de son coupant d’origine

CRETE - ELYROS

(4th - 3rd century BC)

Elyros was located in the southwest of the island, at the foot of Mount Leuca. It was the most important city in the region. Located in the mountainous hinterland, it was connected to the sea by the port of Suia, located near Lisos. Erylos formed with Hyrtakos, Lisos and Tarrha a league in the 3rd century BC.
