Exemplaire sur un flan très large, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Petit Pégase très ramassé au droit avec une usure superficielle. Tète d’Athéna très large au revers, légèrement tréflée. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Historical background

CORINTHIA - CORINTH

(350-306 BC)

Corinth was the unwitting victim of Macedonian hegemony over Asia from Alexander the Great because it then lost its strategic role. Ptolemy I occupied it from 308 to 306 BC, which marks the date of the end of the manufacture of "colts". It joined the Achaean league after 268 BC, but the city was razed by Lucius Memmius in 146 BC for opposing Rome.
