Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type sur un flan ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Magnifique Pégase ramassé de style fin. Très joli revers, finement détaillé. Très belle patine de médaillier noire, avec des reflets dorés

CORINTHIA - CORINTH

(350-306 BC)

Corinth was the unwitting victim of Macedonian hegemony over Asia from Alexander the Great because it then lost its strategic role. Ptolemy I occupied it from 308 to 306 BC, which marks the date of the end of the manufacture of "colts". It joined the Achaean league after 268 BC, but the city was razed by Lucius Memmius in 146 BC for opposing Rome.
