Commentary
Au droit sont représentés Napoléon Bonaparte (15/08/1769-5/05/1821), Premier Consul ; Jean-Jacques Régis Cambacérès (18/10/1753-1/05/1824) qui a été l'un des artisans de la paix d'Amiens, l'un des principaux collaborateurs et rédacteurs du Code Civil et du Concordat ; Charles-François Lebrun (19/03/1739-16/06/1824) est le troisième Consul. Au revers, la médaille fait référence à la Paix d'Amiens entre l'Angleterre et la France qui est signée le 25 mai 1802. La Paix perpétuelle ne dure en fait que deux ans. La France recouvre ses anciennes colonies perdues pendant la Révolution. Le roi d'Angleterre renonce au titre de roi de France qu'il porte depuis Édouard III (1340).
