Coments on the condition:

Exemplaire sur flan large bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau buste militaire de Constance Ier Auguste avec une faiblesse de frappe dans la légende. Revers inhabituel, bien venu à la frappe, excepté sur la marque d’atelier à l’exergue. Patine gris métallique avec reflets dorés

Obverse description : Buste lauré, casqué et cuirassé de Constance Ier Auguste à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant un sceptre bouleté de la main droite et un bouclier décoré et ornementé de la main gauche (E*).

Obverse translation : “Imperator Constantius Pius Felix Augustus” (L’empereur Constance pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse

Reverse legend : VIRTVS AV-GG ET CAESS NN/ -|-// AQS.

Reverse description : L’Empereur galopant à droite, vêtu militairement, tenant une haste de la main droite et un bouclier de la main gauche, terrassant un ennemi agenouillé sous le cheval ; un autre ennemi couché au sol.

Reverse translation : “Virtus Augustorum et Caesarum Nostrorum” (La Virilité de nos augustes et de nos césars).
