Exemplaire sur un flan parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait réaliste du Christ. Petite faiblesse de frappe sur les portraits du revers où néanmoins tous les détails des vêtements sont bien venus

Reverse legend : CONSTANT' CE ROMAN' AYGG B R'N .

Reverse description : Bustes vus à mi-corps de Constantin VII à gauche et de Romain II à droite ; ils sont couronnés, Constantin porte le loros et Romain la chlamyde ; ils tiennent tous deux la croix patriarcale bouletée.

Reverse translation : (Constantin et Romain augustes rois des Romains).

Commentary

Trois globules dans les bras de la croix du nimbe crucigère du Christ. L’exemplaire de MONNAIES 34, n° 1097, s’est vendu 495€ avec sept offres sur un maximum à 750€ en TTB.
