Coments on the condition:
Monnaie d’une grande finesse, quasi SUP au droit et au revers. Cependant, la monnaie a reçu un coup visible au droit à 11 heures et la tranche est marquée d’un choc à 7 heures. Sinon, magnifique aspect !

Reverse description : Victoria (la Victoire) nue jusqu’à la ceinture, drapée, assise à gauche sur une cuirasse et un bouclier, les ailes déployées, écrivant de la main droite VOT/ XXX en deux lignes sur un bouclier soutenu par un génie (angelot) nu debout à droite, tourné à gauche.
Reverse translation : “Victoria Constantini Augusti/ Votis tricennalibus” (La Victoire de Constantin auguste/ vœux pour le trentième anniversaire de règne).

Augustus

Constantine was born in 274, son of Constance Chlore and Helena. He was named Caesar on the death of his father on July 25, 306 and was proclaimed august on December 25, 307. He married Fausta, the daughter of Maximien Hercule, who gave him five children, three of whom were augusts. The first twenty years of his reign are devoted to imposing himself as the main august against Maximian Hercules, Galerius, Maxentius, Maximin II and Licinius. He is recognized as the first Christian emperor, although baptized only on his deathbed on May 22, 337.
