Exemplaire sur un flan large et ovale, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets à l’usure très importante, mais lisible et identifiable. Patine marron foncé

Obverse description : Le buste du Christ de face, nimbé, vêtu du pallium et du colombium, tenant les Évangiles dela main gauche et bénissant de la main droite.

Constantine X succeeded Isaac I Comnenus who had been deposed. Constantine's wife, Eudocia, is the niece of the Patriarch of Constantinople. Constantin must face a triple danger: the Normans in Sicily, the Uzes (Turkish tribe) in the Balkans and the Seljuks in Asia Minor. On his death, his wife succeeded him, ensuring the regency for his sons Michael VII and Constantine. The Empire faces a grave crisis.
