Exemplaire sur un flan ovle, légèrement écrasé sur les côtés. Frappe brouillée au droit. Très joli revers, bien venu à la frappe où les détails des vêtements sont visibles. Patine vert foncé

Constantine X succeeded Isaac I Comnenus who had been deposed. Constantine's wife, Eudocia, is the niece of the Patriarch of Constantinople. Constantin must face a triple danger: the Normans in Sicily, the Uzes (Turkish tribe) in the Balkans and the Seljuks in Asia Minor. On his death, his wife succeeded him, ensuring the regency for his sons Michael VII and Constantine. The Empire faces a grave crisis.
