Flan large et bien centré. Portrait tout à fait inhabituel. Patine grise avec des reflets métalliques et des restes d’argenture. Joli revers

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Constantin II césar à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant la lance reposant sur l’épaule droite et un poignard de la main gauche (F*5).
Obverse translation : "Constantinus Iunior Nobilissimus Cæsar", (Constantin le jeune très noble césar).

Caesar
Born in February 317 according to the most recent chronology, Constantine the Younger receives on coins the title of Caesar like his half-brother Crispus and his cousin Licinius, as well as the title of Prince of Youth. Constantine II is the eldest son of Constantine I and Fausta. In September 337, he received the "pars occidentalis" from the Empire with subjection to his brother Constans, Constantius II having the "pars orientalis". Very quickly, Constantin and Constans fall out. The eldest is eliminated in April 340.
