Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un petit flan, parfaitement centré. Portrait de toute beauté. Joli revers. Patine grise avec des reflets métalliques mordorés

Obverse description : Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé de Constance II césar à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant (A*4).
Obverse translation : “Flavius Valerius Constantius Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Flavien Valère Constance très noble césar).

Reverse legend : PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS// R(COURONNE)Q.

Caesar
Constantius II was born on August 7, 318 in Sirmium. He was raised to the cesarat on November 8, 324 at the age of six. In 337, after the death of his father, it was he who murdered or allowed most of his collateral family, descendants of Constantius Chlorus and Theodora. Only Constance Galle and Julien escape the massacre.
