Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Portrait massif et large, très particulier. Revers inhabituel. Patine gris métallique avec des reflets marron

Reverse description : Deux Concordes drapées debout face à face, tenant chacune une corne d'abondance.
Reverse translation : “Concordia Augustorum”, (La Concorde des augustes).

Commentary


Avec son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Malgré la rareté de ce type, nous n’avons malheureusement pas relevé d’identité de coin pertinente. C’est le quatrième exemplaire photographié. Prendra le n° 543d dans le Supplément III du Bastien.
With its superficial silvering. Type 3 ribbons with rounded ends. Pteryges invisible under the paludamentum. Despite the rarity of this type, we unfortunately did not find any relevant die identity. This is the fourth example photographed. Will take number 543d in Supplement III of Bastien

Constantius became Caesar on March 1, 293, at the same time as Galerius. He is the Caesar subordinate to Maximian while his colleague is to Diocletian. This is Tetrarchy. Constance is linked to Herculean parentage. He divorces Helen to marry Theodora, Maximian's daughter-in-law, while Galerius marries Galéria Valéria, daughter of Diocletian1/03/293-1/05/305.
