Les deux piéforts sont présentés dans leur boite d’origine de la Monnaie de Paris (légèrement abîmée - photo non contractuelle) - le Certificat fourni avec n’est pas l’original de ce coffret mais seulement celui de la 100 Francs Piéfort en version Belle Épreuve (n°B3735) et il a été découpé.

PIEFORTS
Piedfort is a coin with a thickness greater than normal, generally double, sometimes quadruple. It is struck originally to be a model for the various mints. This tradition has continued even if recent strikes no longer serve the same purpose.
