Commentary

For this type, Mr. Crawford noted an estimate of thirty-three right dies and thirty-seven reverse dies for two different varieties for the right and three for the reverse. This money is much rarer than general works seem to indicate. Among the treasures, only eleven pieces were found coming from the deposits of San Giulamo (1 ex.), Alvignano (3 ex.), Avvetrana (3 ex.), Vigatto (1 ex.), Maillé (2 copies) and Terranova (1 copy)
