Monnaie sur un flan bien centré. Très jolis portraits, bien venus à la frappe. Patine grise avec des reflets dorés au droit, bleutés au revers

Commentary

Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de trente-trois coins de droit et de trente-sept coins de revers pour deux variétés différentes pour le droit et trois pour le revers. Ce denier est beaucoup plus rare que ne semblent l’indiquer les ouvrages généraux. Dans les trésors, seules onze pièces ont été relevées provenant des dépôts de San Giulamo (1 ex.), d’Alvignano (3 ex.), d’Avvetrana (3 ex.), de Vigatto (1 ex.), de Maillé (2 ex.) et de Terranova (1 ex.).
For this type, Mr. Crawford noted an estimate of thirty-three right dies and thirty-seven reverse dies for two different varieties for the right and three for the reverse. This money is much rarer than general works seem to indicate.
