Historical background

CLAUDIUS and NERO DRUSUS

(41-42)

Nero Drusus, born in 38 BC, is the son of Nero Tiberius Claudius and Livia, the younger brother of Tiberius. He married Antonia, the daughter of Marc Antoine and Octavie. He died of a fall from a horse in 9 BC. Claudius, at the beginning of his reign, restored the memory of his father, Nero Drusus, of his mother, Antonia, of his brother, Germanicus, and of his beautiful -sister, Agrippina mother, in 41-42.
