Gros frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Présence de divers chocs sur la tranche. Monnaie étant légèrement voilée. Présence de patine grise avec des concrétions sombres sur les deux faces. Légère faiblesse de frappe au niveau de l’écu. Légendes et lis assez nets

CITY OF STRASBOURG
Strasbourg, at the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century, played a great economic, intellectual and artistic role. The cathedral, whose construction began in 1277, was completed at the end of the 15th century. Gutenberg, the inventor of the printing press, resided in Strasbourg from 1438 to 1447. The house of the Oeuvre Notre-Dame and the Kammerzell house were erected at this time. Strasbourg will find itself embroiled in the Wars of Religion which will devastate Alsace for more than a hundred years.
