Commentary

Dimensions avec la couronne de chêne : 59,5 mm. Diamètre de l’étoile : 37,5 mm. Poinçon corne 1 sur les deux branches de la bélière de l’étoile.
Exemplaire conservé dans un écrin bleu avec avec feutrine bordeaux et soie écrue.
L’ordre national du Mérite est un ordre français qui a été institué le 3 décembre 1963 par le général de Gaulle. Il récompense les mérites distingués, militaires (d'active et de réserve) ou civils, rendus à la nation française. Il remplace d'anciens ordres ministériels et coloniaux.
Sa création permet de revaloriser l'ordre national de la Légion d'honneur créé par Napoléon Bonaparte le 20 mai 1802 pour récompenser les mérites éminents.
Dimensions with the oak wreath: 59.5 mm. Diameter of the star: 37.5 mm. Horn hallmark 1 on the two branches of the star's bail. Copy preserved in a blue case with burgundy felt and ecru silk. The National Order of Merit is a French order that was instituted on December 3, 1963 by General de Gaulle. It rewards distinguished merits, military (active and reserve) or civil, rendered to the French nation. It replaces former ministerial and colonial orders. Its creation allows the revaluation of the National Order of the Legion of Honor created by Napoleon Bonaparte on May 20, 1802 to reward eminent merits.
