Commentary


Pierre Turin est un médailleur né en 1891 et décédé en 1968. Il étudia à l’Ecole Nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris dans les ateliers de Coutan, Vernon et Patey. Il fut lauréat du Grand Prix de Rome de gravure en médaille en 1920 et reçut la médaille d’honneur au Salon des Artistes français. Il fut également membre associé de l’Académie Royale de Belgique.
Pierre Turin was a medalist born in 1891 and died in 1968. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the workshops of Coutan, Vernon, and Patey. He was awarded the Grand Prix de Rome for medal engraving in 1920 and received the medal of honor at the Salon des Artistes français. He was also an associate member of the Royal Academy of Belgium.
