Commentary


Pierre-Alexandre Morlon est un sculpteur né en 1878 et décédé en 1951, élève de Faguière et Mercié. Il expose pour la première fois en 1900. Il est sociétaire hors concours au Salon des Artistes français. On lui doit de nombreuses médailles relatives à la guerre 1914-1918 et les maquettes de plusieurs monnaies de la Troisième République. Il chevalier de la légion d’honneur..
Pierre-Alexandre Morlon was a sculptor born in 1878 and died in 1951, a student of Faguière and Mercié. He exhibited for the first time in 1900. He was a member outside the competition at the Salon des Artistes Français. He is responsible for numerous medals relating to the 1914-1918 war and the models for several coins of the Third Republic. He was a knight of the Legion of Honor.
